Engineering

The increased requirements placed on transmission lines increasingly force line operators and manufacturers to eliminate all risks right from the start.
This includes evaluations of the vibrations to which the conductor system is exposed as well as mechanical testing of single parts and complete insulator strings.
For these studies, software solutions based on the finite elements are available. Thanks to this, it will be possible to simulate the statically mechanical behaviour and thus prevent possible failures.

For insulator strings with longrod insulators made of porcelain, the dynamically mechanical behaviour of the complete system, so-called dynamic load transposition, in the event one string fails, can be simulated.
Thus it will be possible to incorporate changes in design serving to increase operating safety of the string can be in due time and to modify existing fittings or conceive new fittings by providing them with the adequate damping properties.
These simulation tools are continuously being extended by Mosdorfer in cooperation with renowned scientists so that we can offer our customers the best possible engineering support and can do without laboratory tests, which may be costly.
