Transmission Line WATL (Western Alberta Transmission)

The WATL project is about a 500kV HVDC (High Volgage Direct Current). The transmission line has a length of 485 km and is in operation in Canada (Edmonton to Calgary) since 2014. A total of 3,500 km transmission line conductor on 950 masts was needed, furthermore 20,000 tons of steel have been used and of that approximately 450 tons of fitting material are from Mosdorfer.
