Our Apprenticeships

Metal Technology/Forging

Main module: Forging Technology
Duration: 3.5 years

Your tasks as forging technician:

  • Manufacturing of forging tools
  • Forging by hand or with the forging hammer
  • Manufacturing of forged products (e.g. dies)
  • Machining non-ferrous metals
  • All heat treatment processes

Metall Technology/Machining

Core module: Machining Technology
Duration: 3.5 years

Your tasks as machining technician:

  • Processing of composite materials (hard metals, fibre-reinforced materials or sintered metals)
  • Manufacture of cutting, punching and moulding tools, including their assembly, testing and commissioning
  • Conducting test series for initial sample inspection
  • Option of a dual apprenticeship: Metal Technology, Toolmaking and Machining Technology

Production Measurement Technology

Core module: Product measurement
Duration: 4 years

Your tasks as a production measurement technician:

  • Carrying out product measurements in accordance with inspection plans
  • Selecting and determining different measurement strategies, methods and equipment
  • Recording and documenting measurements

Mechanical Design

Core module: Mechanical Engineering
Duration: 4 years

Your tasks as a mechanical design engineer:

  • Designing components for high-, low- and medium-voltage transmission lines
  • Carrying out calculations, simulations, drawings and technical documentation
  • Computer-based work and use of specialist software programmes (e.g. CAD – Computer-Aided Design)

Electrical Engineering

Core module: Industrial Plant and Process Engineering
Duration 3.5 years

Your tasks as a Industrial Plant and Process Engineer:

  • Planning, assembly, installation, maintenance and repair of electrical and electrotechnical components, parts and systems for plant and industrial engineering
  • With a focus on control and regulation systems, industrial machinery
