Career story of Benedikt Kutschera
Design und Project Engineer
How everything began – the way to Mosdorfer
Even whilst he was studying at Higher Technical College in Weiz, Benedikt became aware of the Knill Group – and, by extension, Mosdorfer.

Thanks to the company’s strong presence in the regional industrial sector, Mosdorfer was a name he had heard of from an early age.
“The challenging technical environment was what really convinced me,” recalls Benedikt. As a well-established company in the overhead line sector, Mosdorfer offers exciting areas of work and the chance to put specialist knowledge into practice.
My area of responsibility
Benedikt is responsible for the technical and structural design of overhead line fittings. Working closely with the sales and development departments, he works on projects for markets in Europe and the Middle East.
He explains: “I resolve technical issues, assess feasibility and support projects that enable us to tap into new markets.”
The joy of tackling complex challenges in day-to-day projects
One of his biggest challenges is meeting deadlines whilst remaining flexible enough to respond to unforeseen situations. Through forward-thinking planning, clear priorities and open communication with everyone involved in the project, he consistently manages to strike this balance.
From training on the job to independent project management
Benedikt started out as a Design and Tender Engineer. As he gained experience, he took on increasing responsibility. Today, as a Design and Project Engineer, he manages projects independently.
His daily work includes:
- Collaboration with various departments
- Direct customer contact
- Project acceptances
- Business trips
- Continuous professional development

Team spirit and work culture at Mosdorfer
Benedikt particularly values the friendly atmosphere and mutual support that comes with working as part of a team.
“Having a good sense of humour in day-to-day work, as well as the professional diversity within the team, constantly offers me new learning opportunities and creates a motivating working environment.”
